Before mobile phone had customizable home screens and before Android was a thing, there was an untapped market for dynamic content. When Nokia series 60's and Windows Mobile were frontrunners in the mobile space, our team looked into ways to reach and engage users with content they want.
Spark is a unique cloud-connected interface that promotes content discovery, branded services, and real time engagement with live content. This app was a fully stacked service, all content in one view, without having to launch a mobile browser. I worked directly with media companies and carriers to bring their services and branding to our app.

Overview
Spark is a widget system mobile app that was developed from the ground up. Before Android came out with a home screen with custom widgets, we had a vision to give users all they needed to interact with in one location. Spark was a home screen that let users build their own custom hub, based on what power user they were. The system was quite robust in a way that load times were faster than if a user had to pop open the mobile browser.
